Terms of Sale
We cannot guarantee that your puppy/dog will be show or breeding quality, nor can we guarentee the size that the puppy will be full grown! We do NOT sell to puppy brokers or puppy mills!
Deposits/Payments:
We do require a $200 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to hold your puppy, in the form of a postal money order or personal check if there is at least 4 weeks until puppy pick up.
We must receive your deposit within 3 days of placing the puppy "Sale Pending". If we do not receive a deposit within that time frame, the puppy will again be listed "Available". I spend alot of time emailing you with information and pictures about the puppies, as well as talking with you on the phone; this is all very time consuming. I feel it is important to reassure you of my credibility and sincerity. I feel that by the time you place a deposit, you are 100% sure about purchasing a puppy from us. Therefore, I will NOT refund or transfer any deposits or payments simply because you changed your mind. The deposit is given in good faith that you are sincere about purchasing the puppy. When I recieve your deposit for the puppy of your choice, I consider that puppy sold and no other inquires can be made on a puppy with a deposit. There will be no refunds/transfers of payments OR deposits. The balance is due at the time of pick-up. We must receive the balance BEFORE shipping or delivering any puppy!
What We Provide:
We strive to produce healthy, quality puppies. Our puppies receive their first set of shots at 6 weeks of age, and will have been on a worming schedule at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age.
We give a One Year Genetic Health Guarantee to all puppy buyers! Adults are sold without any type of guarentee.
We do NOT sell puppies until they are atleast 8 weeks of age and in most cases a couple weeks older to ensure that they are happy, healthy and well socialized.
If at anytime you feel that you can no longer care for your puppy or you believe it no longer suits your family, you MUST return the puppy/dog to me and I will rehome appropriately. No refund will be given.
One Year Genetic Health Guarantee:
I am confident that the dog/puppy has been delivered to you free from health problems.
The puppy is sold as a pet/companion. There is no guarantee you will be able to breed or show your puppy.
All pet quality puppies may be sold with limited AKC registration. Full registration must be pre-approved.
Before puppies are sold and leave for their new homes, they will recieve ONE set of booster shots (5-IN-1 VACCINE), Corona, are dewormed, and come with a super generous puppy pack to get you started!
If, within the alotted time specified in your contract, a licensed veterinarian of your choice certifies that, at the time of the sale, the animal was unfit for purchase due to illness or disease, or if, within 1 year following the sale, a licensed veterinarian certifies puppy/dog to be unfit for purchase due to a congenital or hereditary disorder which has life threatening consequences:
(a) The right to return the animal and receive an exchange dog of the buyer's choice of equal value, or a refund of veterinary costs up to the purchase price of the dog due to illness.
The exchange shall be made by the seller as a puppy/dog becomes available. The buyer must notify the seller within 2 business days after the veterinarian's determination that the animal is unfit. The written certification of unfitness must be presented to the seller not later than 3 business days following receipt thereof by the buyer.
An animal may not be determined unfit for sale on account of an injury sustained or illness contracted after the consumer takes possesion of the animal. A veterinary finding of intestinal or external parasites is not grounds for declaring a dog unfit for sale.

By purchasing a puppy from Shady Lane Chihuahuas, the buyer indicates that he/she has read, agrees and understands this contract.
